The National Gene Bank Hosts a Workshop on the I-Water Project and WARM Program: An International Partnership for Capacity Building in Integrated Water Resources Management

guidance of Prof. Dr. Adel Abdel Azim, President of the Agricultural Research Center, and with the honor of Prof. Dr. Abdel Aziz El-Taweel, Chairman of the Conferences and Workshops Committee at the Agricultural Research Center, the National Gene Bank organized a specialized workshop.

The event was held under the patronage and organization of Prof. Dr. Nevin Abdel Fattah Hassan, Director of the National Gene Bank; Prof. Dr. Soliman Abdel Maaboud Arab, Vice Director for Extension and Training; and Dr. Hossam Abdel Maksoud Sayed, Vice Director for Research Affairs.

The workshop, entitled “The I-Water Project and the WARM Program: An International Partnership for Capacity Building in Integrated Water Resources Management,” was convened at the Conference Hall of the National Gene Bank, Agricultural Research Center in Giza, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

The workshop featured presentations by Dr. Hassan Abu El-Naga from the University of Kassel, Germany, and Prof. Dr. Ali El-Bahrawy, Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Coordinator of the I-Water Project at Ain Shams University with the German partner, and Director of the Master’s Program across the university’s faculties.
